History
Our way...
The Globe Company, that was renamed Finest Globe Services in 2001, was the result of Anthony’s Martin’s desire to offer his expertise to companies.
- In June 1993, the John Martin family purchased the Igloo company from the Pernod Ricard group that had marketed Orangina dispensers in Belgium since 1991. At the time of the takeover, there were around 300 dispensers.
- In March 1994, as part of its goal to supply its customers with a complete service, S.D.S. (Wavre) joined Globe, and in April of the same year, Finest Globe Services launched its new concept of drinking fountains.
- In September 1995, we took over Aqua Spring (Wavre), and thus increased the number of dispensers to 500. In October 1996, Vivaro, with its 100 drinking fountains, joined forces enhancing our service even more. Today we have more than 5,000 dispensers and drinking fountains and we are the only Belgian company to offer a complete drinks and snacks service to companies.
- In January 1998, we started producing our own water for the drinking fountains. Thanks to our bottling machine, Globe is able not just to meet its own orders, but is also able to handle ‘contract bottling’ for third parties.
- In 2001, we carried out a rebranding operation that resulted in a new company name and logo that confirmed Globe as part of the constellation of ‘Finest’ products and services of the John Martin group. In the same year, the takeover of Sweet Services, T&R Diffusion Candy Box and the Mardeau customer base in Belgium reinforced our market position even more.
- In 2009 and 2011, Finest Globe Services invested in perfecting its production facility and purchased a new bottling machine. In addition to the stackable square bottles, it launched its first round bottles made in tritan, a new material that contains no BPA (Bisphenol A).
